About Us

The Millennium Group, an IBM Premier Business Partner and Apple Authorized Professional Services Provider, provides comprehensive solutions and services to school districts, corporations and governmental organizations. These industry specific solutions range from high technology integration to market-leading education turnaround service — a practice aimed at addressing student performance at chronically low-performing schools and districts.

The Millennium Group has the experience and expertise to develop innovative solutions for any organization, large or small, public or private. In the educational community, the Millennium Group is trusted by school districts for personal attention combined with enterprise-level service. In Broward County, FL, we installed more than 60,000 iBooks and more than 300 servers. Our work exemplifies the drive to be the best so our nation’s schools can be their best.

The Millennium Group’s founder and president, Mr. Darrell T. Forte, is an entrepreneur with a keen interest in transforming education across the nation. His distinguished background and success with TMG are attributed to his intense focus on efficiency, customer service and meeting or exceeding customer needs.

TMG’s Education Services is directed by acclaimed education expert Dr. Irving Hamer, whose recent achievements include turning around 39 K-12 schools performing at the lowest quartile in Miami in only one year. TMG Education works with districts, particularly urban, that have the challenge of persistent low performance. TMG’s Education Turnaround Authority is devoted to designing a customized, thorough platform funded by existing resources and focused on immediate, substantial results.

Moreover, Dr. Hamer is known for his efforts to integrate technology into teaching and learning while serving as a member of the New York City Department of Education. Also on his team is Cecilia Gutierrez, who previously served as Senior Program Officer for the Beaumont Foundation of America. Ms. Gutierrez was directly responsible for reviewing and approving technology grants to NYC schools supporting their effort to integrate technology into the curriculum.

TMG’s Technology Services is directed by Mr. Gerald Flournoy, a former Education CIO with 20 years of experience in implementing technology solutions for schools. Mr. Flournoy’s team helps school districts plan, implement and realize dramatic improvements from their technology infrastructure. Mr. Flournoy also was an Apple Senior System’s Engineer for more than seven years for Broward County Pubic Schools, the nation’s sixth largest school District.

Under Mr. Flournoy’s direction, Apple maintained a commanding market share despite deployment of many district-wide initiatives that typically signal share erosion for Apple technologies. Rather, Mr. Flournoy worked with District leadership, software solutions providers and Apple’s World Wide Developer Relations group to integrate solutions such as SAP into the District.
